If You Have Skin Care Issues, Why You Should Be Using African Soap

Are you at the point of wanting to step up your skincare game? Let’s face it, most of us like to look good. From our hair, faces, skin, clothes, accessories and shoes, it’s in our DNA to look our best. When it comes to our face and skin, we sometimes spend a little more time on research. Primarily, health being a defining factor. Harsh ingredients and chemicals, we have to be on guard for. I am here to help guide you in your research process. By presenting one all-natural product that will make your dermatologist smile…. African soap!

Why African Soap Is The Best

Let me tell you…. there isn’t a day I don’t use African soap. It’s a top staple that I am afraid of running out of. I always triple check with all my merchants (well in advance) to make sure it’s in stock. That is how good this product is.

African soap is one of the best investments I have ever made. It’s a magical bar that can alleviate any skin issues. From severe facial acne, body acne, shaving/hair removal irritation, pimples and hyperpigmentation, it covers everything. The greatest aspect, you can use it all over your body.  Plus, it leaves your skin extra smooth, clear and odorless. In comparison with other soaps, African soap leaves your skin the cleanest and smelling the best (IMO). No other cleanser can remove every odor better and quicker than African soap.

African Soap Lasting Value

For its size (1lb block), African soap is budget friendly (usually around $7.00). This one-pound block can last you a good 8 months up to a year.  A little piece (small as 40 centimeters) can get you through the week. You have to factor if you’re including other soaps with your skin maintenance. Still, African soap is a good bargain for its duration either way. You will be getting more than your money’s worth with all the healing nutrients! This soap is the perfect solution to frequenting the dermatologist.

What You Should Be Beware Of Before Using

I will forewarn, if you have sensitive skin or any allergens, please check the ingredients. Also, don’t leave too long on the skin and use as instructed. Although it’s all natural, be careful of overusing. You don’t want to end up with any skin rashes or itchiness. I would recommend using a moisturizer (after usage of the soap) of your choice. Some amazing staples you can try (extra virgin coconut oil, olive oil, grapeseed oil or shea butter).  I will touch upon these items in a future article.

What You Should Know Before You Purchase In The Marketplace

When it comes to the marketplace, you want to set your eyes on Raw and 100% on the package. You can tell you have the correct type by the color and large block size. Look out for African soap that comes as a big brown bar wrapped in plastic. Picture below gives a perfect description of the soap. You can also follow the link here for more products. I highlight the importance of getting the correct soap because, I don’t want you wasting your money. I want you to experience all the essential vitamins and nutrients of raw African soap that will heal your skin. I want you to avoid the “African soaps” that aren’t all-natural. You can tell by their size and color. They’re much smaller and come in a variety of colors. Also, raw isn’t on the packaging. You don’t want to get soaps full of synthetics and chemicals. Get the best for your skin which is the all-natural raw African soap!

Where Can You Purchase

You can find African soap on many online merchants (some recommendations Amazon, Coastal Scents). Just look out for merchants that carry raw African soap at a good price and free shipping.  For the free shipping, some of the merchants will have $35 or $50 limit. As African soap is around $7.00, try stocking up to get free shipping. You can also get other products that work well with African soap. Shea butter, grapeseed oil or coconut oil are some good finds.

If you’re just looking to just get African soap, the best bet is to head over to a physical retailer. Some good spots, TJ Maxx, Marshall’s and beauty supply stores (generally in urban areas). Would recommend calling ahead to check if the soap in stock. With TJ Maxx and Marshall’s, you can check in the beauty area. Good luck!

Aftercare Of African Soap

African soap has unique ingredients that need aftercare. If you want your bar to last, try wrapping it tightly. Plastic saran wrap, giant Ziploc bag or a large plastic storage container will do you wonders. Can pick up a cute one for a $1 at dollar tree.

You also want to keep your soap away from heat/sunlight. Store it in a dry/cool area to help keep it preserved. You want your soap to last the longest so keep it dry and wrapped at all times. Which will lead to the next recommendation, breaking up your soap.

Why You Should Break Up Your Soap

With its size, I recommend breaking up your soap into smaller chunks. Trying to hop in the shower with a giant block is not a good look. Your washcloth or loofah will look at you crazy, lol. You also don’t want to end up wasting product. So, try slicing them up into cubes with a butter knife. You can also estimate how much you will use for the month. Once estimated, slice off a chunk and wrap up the rest. Also, make sure the chunk you’re using is stored in a portable container and in a dry area.

Conclusion

I hope this post reaches someone who is battling skin care issues or is just looking for a natural product. African soap should be a staple in everyone’s vanity area. It has so many benefits (especially for its price) it’s a shame. I’ve been a user for many years and will continue to be a faithful fan. It’s one product I will never ditch and the absolute best in my opinion. If you love the feeling and smelling clean (24/7) then this soap is definitely a must! Give it a try, your wallet will thank you.
