A subject in school you wish you were better at? If you could create your own subject in school, what would it be?
Elementary
Whatever grade you learn the clock. I don’t know why I struggled in this area for a while. I have a math brain, just could never understand why? Let’s not get into the test. A pure drab. The short and long hand on a clock, that is where I wanted to ghost. What lit the fire under me, those fruit smelling stickers when you got an A. It’s better when you get to pick out your stickers. I still have my tests for safe keeping. I sometimes look over them and laugh. My handwriting was all over the place, it’s everywhere but on the paper. Would throw in penmanship. I am stickler for nice handwriting and believe it’s room to improve.
High School
Looking back would say English. Was good with understanding English and writing. Just when it came to the rules, my eyes crossed. Too many to follow. I am a math head by nature, so I guess that’s where the conflict arose. The only thing I got out of English is going to the Shakespeare Theater. Didn’t know Shakespeare was a native of our area. The report was interesting. Analyzing his writing was a riot. I done muck up all his writing but at least I passed.
Undergraduate
No issues here but will say it was quite interesting the first month of starting school. Level one math all my life to end up in the lowest level of math. That was quickly alleviated once the first test rolled around. Professor noticed you shouldn’t be in this class, lol. I was quickly transferred to the advanced class. I don’t regret at it was a cool learning experience. Just an error.
Graduate
Statistics. I don’t blame the professor; he was just too strict. All over the place with his philosophy. It was either go with his philosophy or rise up from your seat and exit. He was good, the originator of observational marketing. His stories of going through people trash and observing what they’re purchasing in stores will always stick with me. He doesn’t play when it comes to marketing. At least he got us out of our seats and in the aisles to look at cereal boxes. It was fun because got to check out the toons on boxes. LoL at how all their eyes are looking down. Got to make a connection with the little ones, kids! The influencers in the market. Thanks to my professor for the extra pounds, I carried. How can I not walk away with a box of Cap n Crunch. Will talk more about this in a separate article.
If I can create a subject in school it would be pet science. Want to put me in my seat, include animals. They are man’s best friends. We need to know more about our furry friends. If they could talk, lol. Stay out of it my parrot friends. Interesting creations indeed.
